Alyson Faith Sheinbaum (Aly Sunshine) is a singer/songwriter and the founder of Funkytown Playground - an integrated music, movement and yoga program for kids. Aly provides a unique and authentic approach to creating content and has performed at iconic venues, schools, libraries and museums. She is a vendor with the NYC Board of Ed, has a B.A. from The City College of New York with a concentration in early childhood studies and is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher through Sonic Yoga in NYC.
Alyson performs regularly for adults around NYC as well. She is currently in a band with Bakithi Kumalo, legendary bass player of Paul Simon, and shares the stage with many iconic performers.
Steve Jabas is a talented guitarist, producer, composer/arranger, and working in the studio bothas a performer and recording engineer. In addition to working with Funkytown Playground, he can be seen and heard performing with a variety of groups and
artists worldwide.
His music has also been heard on television shows featured on ABC, the TLC network and The Discovery Channel.
Steve is also an accomplished teacher and faculty member
at the Church Street School of Music and Art in Tribeca, and
at Opus 118 Harlem School of Music; where he specializes
in teaching children to play guitar and directs various student ensembles.
